Mr. Mosny's English 10 Honors class went on a tour of Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute as part of a unit where students make observations of art pieces and use those observations to interpret the meaning of the piece. During this trip, students were able to view Thomas Cole's Voyage of Life mural series, which they are using for a class assignment analyzing visual symbolism and a model Regents Task 3 analysis essay.

Mount Markham CSD has held its sixth annual Dodgeball Tournament for the American Heart Association! This fundraiser is a district-wide initiative to raise money for those struggling with cardiovascular disease.
From October 24 - 28, Mount Markham High School students and staff participated in Red Ribbon Week! The 2022 theme was "Celebrate Life. Live Drug Free," and activities were coordinated through Heather Maley, Prevention Services Coordinator with the Catholic Charities of Herkimer County/Herkimer County Prevention Council.
Students in Mrs. Moore's health classes held a poster contest. Each student was very creative and expressed ways to celebrate the theme. Students also signed the Red Ribbon Pledge: to grow up safe, healthy and drug free by understanding the dangers of drug use and abuse, to respect themselves and be drug free and to spread the word to family and friends about the importance of being healthy and drug free.
SADD provided encouraging announcements each morning and students also sported fun mustaches provided by SADD with the declaration "I 'mustache' you not to do drugs." On Wednesday, all staff and students were encouraged to wear RED to demonstrate their commitment to a drug-free lifestyle.
