Mount Markham Middle School

Evelyn Dye has been selected as the Mt. Markham Optimist Club 8th Grade Youth of the Month for September. Evelyn is the daughter of Erin Dye of Bridgewater, NY. While in Middle School, Evelyn has been involved in Soccer, Volleyball, National Junior Honor Society, and the Yearbook Club. Evelyn is an active member of the Junior FFA and has participated in community service events through the club. She was awarded 1st Place Junior Poultry Evaluation Team and placed 3rd individually. Evelyn is a student in the accelerated Algebra, Living Environment, ELA, and the AFNR classes. Evelyn has received the Optimist award in 4th grade as well as an Academic Excellence Award in 6th grade. She has been on the Gold Honor Roll throughout her Middle School years. She has been a team captain for one of her sports seasons. Outside of school, Evelyn plays Club Volleyball and Indoor Soccer at Accelerate. She also spends time babysitting. Evelyns’s future plans include being a member of the National Honor Society and achieving High Honor Roll in High School. Evelyn would like to attend college and become a nurse.
