Gavin Washburn has been selected as the Mount Markham Optimist Club 8th Grade Youth of the Month for February! Gavin is the son of Timothy and Kathleen Washburn of West Winfield, NY.
Throughout middle school, Gavin has been involved in Modified Football and Basketball. He is a member of the National Junior Honor Society. Gavin is a student in Accelerated Math, Science, and ELA classes and the Advanced Technology class.
Gavin has received several MMTA awards and has been on the Gold Honor Roll throughout middle school. Outside of school, Gavin enjoys hanging out with friends and family, hiking, fishing, being outdoors, kayaking, swimming, traveling and church. Gavin’s future goals include pursuing higher education for a trade career and entrepreneurship.
