Scholarships
Here is a list of current scholarships. These scholarships can be viewed/printed directly from this page or hard copies can be picked up in the high school guidance office. Please contact the guidance office if you need any documentation, including an official transcript, to complete an application.
Scholarships:
The Hagan Scholarhip is a nationwide need-based merit scholarhship designed to help rural students graduate college debt-free. To be eligible for a Hagen Scholarship, applicants must have a substantial financial need. See attached copy of handout and brochure: Hagan Scholarship
The Central New York Chapter of the Air & Waste Management Association is soliciting applications for 2022 scholarships. Scholarships of up to $1,500 will be awarded in the spring of 2022 to college students or high school seniors enrolled in college for the fall 2022 semester in an environmental-related program. The scholarship letter, criteria and application materials are attached. Completed applications must be postmarked or received via email no later than February 28, 2022. The Horatio Alger Association of Distinguished Americans Scholarship - for high school juniors - application information attached. The scholarship programs provide financial assistance to students throughout the nation who have signifant financial need and have exhibited integrity and perseverance in overcoming personal adversity. The scholarships are given to deserving students each year and range in award value from $10,000 to $25,000. Deadline March 15, 2022 Horatio Alger Scholarship

The Coolidge Scholarship: any high school junior who plans to enroll in college in the fall of 2023 and is an American citizen or legal permanent resident is eligible to apply. The Coolidge is among America's most generous college scholarship: a full-ride that covers a student's tuition, room, board, and expenses for 4 years of undergraduate study. American Society of Military Comptrollers, CNY Leatherstocking Chapter, is sponsoring a scholarship program for graduating high school seniors who demonstrate exemplary leadership abilities, an interest in the financial management career field, and academic promise. The CNY Leatherstocking Chapter will award 2 $500 scholarships, 1 $300 scholarship, 2 $250 scholarships and 1 $200 scholarship, and Nationa ASMC will award 11 scholarships ranging from 1,000 to $3,000. The ASMC Scholarships are for students entering the fields of Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Public Administration, or Economics. The Firemen's Association of New York (FASNY) has scholarships available for volunteer firefighters. Twenty-five $1,500 scholarships to high school seniors entering college. Apply online at www.fasny.com/scholarship. Deadline is March 15, 2022. See attached flier: FASNY Scholarships flier
FASNY Help is also available if you are an active volunteer firefighter earning a two or four-year degree you can get up to $1,500 of your tuition reimbursed through FASNY's Higher Education Learning Plan. Gregory J. Wilsey Scholarship - open to high school students majoring in a trade, fire, EMS, engineering, nursing or education. They will be awarding up to four $500 scholarships. PB&J Scholarship - this scholarship is for students who have experienced personal challenges that may not have allowed them to perform well academically, but who still have the drive to succeed. With no GPA requirement, students are encouraged to apply as this scholarship is meant to be inclusive. Eligibility: be a current High School Senior who plans on attending a 2 or 4 year college next school year. Up to $1,000 awarded. Deadline: May 31, 2022. See attached PB&J Scholarship

Berkshire Bank NeXt Gen Scholarship is available to high school seniors meeting the eligibility and criteria listed on the attached flier. Deadline: March 15, 2022 NeXt Gen Scholar
St. Elizabeth College of Nursing announces their Education to Employment Program for students pursuing a career in nursing. See attached flyer for details. St. E's Ed to Employment
Valley Health Services is proud to announce their 2022 scholarship opportunity for a graduating high school senior. In order to be considered, a student must be planning to pursue a higher education in a field employable within a nursing home. This may include, but is not limited to, a career in nursing, accounting, healthcare administration, rehabilitation services, social work and environmental services. The Lake & Valley Garden Club is continuing their tradition of offering a scholarship of $500 or greater to a graduating senior who is planning on pursuing studies in horticulture, botany, landscape design or related fields. The Community Foundation is pleased to announce that scholarships are now available from the Connor Arthur Lynskey Memorial Scholarship Fund. Students may review the award criteria and apply by visiting www.foundationhoc.org/connor. Application deadline: Friday, May 13, 2022.
The Epilepsy Foundation of Northeastern New York, Inc. is offering three college scholarships to graduating high school seniors or students who will be enrolled at any post high school institution of higher learning. Scholarships will be awarded to students who are currently being treated for epilepsy and have plans to further their education. Deadline: Monday, May 1st 2022.
