In the video embedded below, Dr. Berry, Mt. Markham Central School District superintendent (2015 to present), begins our journey by taking us on a "virtual" field trip, of images and thought-provoking narration, back to the days of our one room school houses and the evidence we see today of our district's proud past.

Welcome to the beginning of what we hope will become an ongoing research project for Mt. Markham students who are interested in creating a "digital memory" of the history of our school district. We envision student-directed projects that have students working with historical documents, photos, and alumni of all ages. Not only will this site document the historical aspects of our district but, using 21st century technologies, it can become a living memory with opportunities for alumni and their families to respond to or further illuminate the digital content students have added to the site.
