Mount Markham students in both seventh and eighth grade are enrolled in Technology for 20 weeks at each grade level. Throughout the 40 weeks, students will explore several key Technology related areas including tools, resources and processes, transportation systems, design and problem solving and technological systems. Introduction to Building Trades/DDP is also offered to 8th grade students. It is an advanced level course that helps students build on their current skills, with a focus on community mindedness. Projects include toolboxes, mousetrap cars, piggy banks, technical drawing, CO2 cars, bootjacks, Adirondack chairs as well as a variety of others.
